How to register

This website contains information for New Zealanders, overseas trained chiropractors, and Australian registered chiropractors.

Registration in the scope of practice of Chiropractor is important for the protection of the consumers of services of registered chiropractors. Registration as a chiropractor is available for those with appropriate qualifications or in the case of overseas trained chiropractors those who successfully complete the Board's Competence Examinations.

Chiropractors who are registered and able to practise in one or more Australian states or territories, except Western Australia, may apply to register under the provisions of the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition legislation.

Once the Board has approved registration, the registered chiropractor must pay for an Annual Practising Certificate (APC), if he or she is practising in New Zealand.

For more information on Registration and the Competency Examination download the documents below. Further information can also be found thoughout the sub-sections of 'How to register'.
