Meet the Board

The Minister of Health is responsible for the appointment of Board members which includes calling for nominations from a variety of sources within and outside of the chiropractic profession.  Once these nominations are received, the Minister appoints persons for a term of three (3) years.  Appointees are able to be re-appointed.The Minister of Health, in late August 2011, appointed new persons to the Board.  The current Board members are:

Registered Chiropractors
  • Dr Bruce Adam - Chairperson
  • Dr Sandeep Bansal - Deputy Chairperson
  • Dr Kristin Grace
  • Dr John O’Malley
  • Professor Stefan Pallister
Laypersons
  • Ms Tania Davis
  • Ms Cathrine Holland
The Board says good-bye to Drs John Loveday and Robin Taylor and Mr Mark Saunders.  The Minister chose not to re-appoint these previous members for a variety of reasons including time spent on the Board and geographical and gender balance.

The Board welcomes its newly appointed Board members, Ms Tania Davis and Dr Kristin Grace and looks forward to working with them.

Although Board members may have been nominated by a particular body, they in no way represent that body while undertaking Board business.  The Board operates on a collective responsibility principle.

Board members are paid for their time while carrying out Board business.  It is not unusual for Board members to spend up to 15 days per year on Board business.
